Segnalimo, dall'indice alfabetico per materie, molte pagine su FERROVIE, POSTE, Francobolli di Stato e franchigia postale, Opere idrauliche, PORTI, STRADE ecc. Silvio SPAVENTA, fratello di Bertrando. Per la sua attività antiborbonica fu condannato a morte, pena tramutata nel 1852 in ergastolo e nel 1859 in esilio perpetuo. Dopo l'unità d'Italia fu deputato (1861-89), consigliere di Stato e ministro dei Lavori pubblici. Ispirandosi a Hegel, vide nello Stato l'organo supremo destinato a impersonare la coscienza direttiva della nazione. Solido ed integro, appena scurito al dorso, eccellente esemplare ancora intonso.
