1879Volume in folio, legatura posteriore in mezza pelle, sguardie, occhiello, frontespizio, dedicatoria, secondo occhiello, prefazione, XV pp., 1416 colonne (708 pp.), bianca.

rif. 19180Standing Council of the Baronetage London. 1909 or 1910. Henry Good & Son London E.C. 9pp 4to. In fair condition on lightly-aged paper; with central horizontal fold. A main topic of the meeting was as Sir Lambton Loraine explained the assertion by the Duke of Norfolk of his 'right to a jurisdiction over the Baronetage in every way' and his belief that he has 'a right to keep our record at his own house in St. James's Square whereas we have not yet got the King's answer to the Home Secretary's Committee's proposal that a person appointed by the Home Office should be the future Registrar of the Roll of the Baronetage'. Another matter discussed was 'whether the title "Baronet" should be on one's card'. From the papers of Sir Richard Harington 11th Baronet who has written at top-right of the title-page: 'Read 15 June 1910'. Scarce: no other copy found either on OCLC WorldCat or on COPAC. 1765rif. AQ21341A Paris: De l'Imprimerie de Guilleaume Desprez 1765. 92pp. Uncut stitched as issued. Edges a trifle dusty else clean and crisp. A printing of extracts from the minutes of the Assembly of the French clergy in 1765 a meeting most notable for reiterating the episcopacy's defence of it's exemption from taxation; a statement that from a Jansenist perspective amounted to a revocation of the Declaration of 1682 which had codified the principles of Gallicanism. The tensions bolstered by this corruption of Gallicanist fundamentals together with increased opposition to monarchical absolutism would pave the road to the Revolution - an ultimately the nationalisation of all ecclesiastical property. . 8vo.
