Leblebici Hor Hor [Aga] opereti. Chamli Isquender.= Kudmânizade Samli Iskender. Text by Takvor Nalyan. Not in Özege for this edition. Leblebici Horhor (Horhor the Chickpea Seller) is an 1875 Turkish-language operetta by the Ottoman-Armenian composer Dikran Tchouhadjian. Leblebici Horhor is often claimed as the first original Turkish operetta, though Tchouhadjian's Arif'in Hilesi (Arif's Trick) was at least year earlier - it is reported in 1874. Tigran Tchoukhajian was an Armenian composer, conductor, public activist and the founder of the first opera institution in the Ottoman Empire. He is considered the first opera composer in Turkish history.
