Spostandosi tra stanze da concerti e band in marcia e intrufolandosi in vicoli e stazioni della metropolitana, i due cercarono di documentare al meglio questo fenomeno vivo e pulsante che mandava in estasi l'America, incurante delle differenze sociali, economiche e razziali. Il risultato della collaborazione di Claxton e Berendt fu Jazzlife, ricercatissimo dai collezionisti e ora fatto rivivere in questa nuova edizione TASCHEN. Da una costa all'altra degli Stati Uniti, dai più ignoti musicisti di strada alle leggende del jazz, questo viaggio esplora l'essenza di una delle più originali forme d'arte americane.
