Miles Davis (1926-1991) is one of the greatest stars of modern jazz and contemporary, and in a general sense of the 20th century. Eppure, leggendo attentamente le interviste che Miles Davis concesse ai più brillanti giornalisti e critici musicali, si scopre un artista molto più complesso, profondamente intellettuale, coerente nel desiderio di dare grande musica al suo pubblico e pronto ad aiutare giovani musicisti a diventare artisti. Il poeta, drammaturgo ed editore Michael K. Dorr, insieme allo scrittore Paul Maher Jr., ha raccolto le 30 interviste fondamentali fatte a Miles Davis, pubblicandole in un libro dall'eloquente titolo "Miles on Miles. Incontri con Miles Davis". Lettura imprescindibile per chiunque desideri conoscere il "Miles-pensiero" su musica, vita e filosofia, questo volume ci rivela un'icona del jazz complicata e contraddittoria, reticente in alcune occasioni ed eccezionalmente eloquente in altre.
