Vengono presi in esame i concetti fondamentali della Tecnologia dell'informazione, in particolare le caratteristiche e il funzionamento di un calcolatore. Successivamente viene illustrato il software Microsoft Excel e i comandi fondamentali per un suo utilizzo adeguato. Vien posto l'accento sulla possibilità di analizzare i dati con le tabelle pivot e su come integrare tra loro diversi programmi Office per migliorare la produttività sul lavoro. Alla fine del manuale sono presenti delle domande, con le risposte corrette, per esercitarsi sui concetti appresi.
