Il volume, che in apertura riporta la lettera di proclamazione di Giovanni Paolo II, ripercorre in maniera sintetica quella che è stata la vita e il percorso spirituale della Santa di Svezia, che insieme a Santa Caterina da Siena (di poco posteriore) tanto ha fatto per la Chiesa del tempo e per l'Europa che in quel tempo si andava forgiando attraverso l'affermarsi delle singole nazioni. Il volume, riccamente illustrato, si propone come un libro strenna celebrativa, ma dai ricchi contenuti.
2016brossura In contestazione alla credenza clericale la quale afferma che san Bartolomeo era un apostolo, l'autore dimostra, al contrario, che costui non ha mai occupato tale incarico. Non solo, ma da un esame accurato della sua incerta biografi a si deduce come costui non abbia mai compiuto quei miracoli che gli si attribuiscono e che sia assolutamente inutile ogni sua elezione a patrono di città o di chiese. Ed inoltre, qualora si voglia per pura ipotesi accettate tesi ecclesiastica della sua controversia identità, da un esame del materiale scritto attualmente in possesso, risulta pure che costui non è neppure esistito.
