REZZI Luigi MariaMareMagnum

In 4, pp. 49 + (1b) + (1) + (1b). Aggiunge l'A.

He found that the limit for the difference of magnitude that we are able to distinguish plainly is in general found equal to half the wave-lenght of theparticular light employed. A further increase in optical power beyond that of the best modern instruments does not therefore seem possible. unknown

TORTONI, Carlo Antonio.MareMagnum

Lettera Scritta, e Dedicata a D. Girolamo Ambrogio de Langmantel …

Tortoni è considerato l'inventore dello strumento, piuttosto che l'inglese Joseph Wilson. Secondo Clay and Court per primo presentò all'Accademia fisico-matematica Romana "on August 5, 1685. The tube was 2 inches long and 2 scruples radius. It was composed of five parts, each joined by a screw to the succeeding part, and it could be divided into a microscope and an eyeglass". . Non in Riccardi; Clay and Court, The History of the Microscope, pp. 41-42 and 79..

BLEULAND (Jan)MareMagnum
