La percentuale degli errori e' in graduale decremento grazie alle rinnovate capacità di calcolo di computer sempre più potenti. Nel 2020 si sono raggiunti i 7 giorni utili di previsione, un traguardo ragguardevole se si pensa che solo negli anni novanta del secolo scorso i giorni utili di previsione dell'altezza del geopotenziale a 500 hpa erano appena 3 o 4. Questo volume mostra i recenti risultati dell'affidabilità delle previsioni effettuate in varie parti del globo.
