2012ill., br. Ci sono italiani che possono essere estremamente pericolosi e sono indubitabilmente italiani. Vivono nel nostro paese da molto più tempo di noi, sono figli, nipoti e bisnipoti di italiani e - per così dire - si sono sviluppati di pari passo con l'Italia stessa. Sono gli animali coi quali condividiamo il territorio e la loro pericolosità (per noi) non è dovuta ad atti di ostilità politica, ma a spine, aculei, denti, tossine, chele e quant'altre armi abbia voluto fornire loro la natura. Sia chiaro, è una pericolosità relativa e in genere molto, troppo esagerata. Gli italiani umani sono di gran lunga più pericolosi. La pericolosità degli animali nostrani non è neppure vagamente paragonabile a quella dei ben più coreografici rappresentanti delle faune esotiche di Australia, Africa, Asia o America. Ma nel suo piccolo, anche nella fauna italiana ci sono specie dalle quali è bene guardarsi, o che comunque è bene conoscere, per evitare di incappare in guai inattesi e potenzialmente spiacevoli, quando non (raramente) mortali.
