Complete with the engraved frontis plus 39 numbered plates and six unnumbered plates. Final plate is a fold-out. In Volume I plates 5 and 6 have been neatly coloured with watercolours plates 9 and 10 have been partially coloured in red watercolour. All plates are otherwise in excellent condition some plates are bound out of sequence. A well-illustrated abridgement of Buffon's Histoire Naturelle in attractive period bindings. ESTC: T490536.
