‎Barcelona and San Sadurni d'Anoia: Chocolates Amatller, 1935. I offer two proof sheets, ENTIRELY UNCUT, JUST AS THEY CAME OFF THE PRESS, with the complete collection of these 80 cards.

‎JACK AND THE BEAN STALK CHROMOLITHOGRAPHS Set of Six‎

‎An assortment of 19th century chromolithoraphic prints that were pulled from a children's book at one time. Colors are still bright. Some of the chromos have text of the children's book on reverse. Title above lines of text is "Jack And The Bean-Stalk." Full page prints on 9 by 10 3/4 inches pages. One of the pages has print slightly cut down with lower corners clipped and mounted on page of same type as the other pages. Possibly a publisher error at the time of printing with that print tipped in. These chromos were found together with a lot of Uncle Sam prints I am offering separately. They were possibly all from the same 19th century children's book but I can identify no such book. Some edgwear to the blank margins but prints themselves in nice condition aside from the one that is mounted. Four of the six prints show Jack with the giant. Beautiful examples of the chromolithographic art. Disbound. Very Good/N/A. 9 By 10 3/4 Inch Prints. Paperback‎

‎SUNNY DAYS AND CHILDREN'S WAYS‎

‎Edinburgh: T. Nelson and Sons 1867. Early use of printed color in a children's book. All 32 color prints are present though binding is a bit loose and some of the pages have fallen loose. Title page also loose but present. Blue cloth binding very worn and cloth entirely worn through in some spots. Cloth on back cover very creased. But contents are clean and the images are bright. Divided into four sections: Sunny Days Home for the Holidays Right and Wrong and Picture Rhymes of Happy Times. Each section with a separate title page. One of these title pages a simple one with printing only has piece torn out of it but no printing affected. It's obvious at least two or three artists worked on this book and the style ranges from portraying children in a very idyllic cherub-faced way to a series of drawings in which the children are rather life-like and very naughty. One color plate called Blind Man's Bluff shows a group of children absolutely tormenting the blindfolded boy. In another plate that serves also as the title page of Home for the Holidays four boys in a coach are blowing horns and looking like they're prepared to wreak real havoc. A third also quite realistic style shows children in pastoral and Victorian settings. Each plate printed on one side of sheet only. A marvellous if well-used book. Small decoration in gilt on cover of a girl holding bird with a cat and rabbit on either side of her. Birdcage at top of this design which is still quite bright. Illustrated Blue Cloth. Fair. Illus. by Thirty-two Pages of Illustrations Printed in oil Colours. Quarto. T. Nelson and Sons Hardcover‎
