Il grecista bolognese Cospo fu variamente chiamato anche Angelo Bartolomeo. LEgatura in piena pergamena. Al frontespizio piccola lacuna restaurata in corrispondenza di un legno ovale. fori di tarlo alle prime e ultime carte.

L'opera dei dieci giorni per una lettura teologica del Decameron
brossura Le cento novelle raccolte da Boccaccio intorno alla metà del XIV secolo contribuiscono a fare dello scrittore di Certaldo uno dei maggiori esponenti di quegli autori eredi di Dante che consideravano la poesia - da considerarsi nel suo senso più ampio - e la teologia come una sola cosa. Eppure, malgrado ciò, raramente il Decameron ha avuto l'attenzione che merita rispetto al suo profilo teologico. Nel Decameron Boccaccio, testimone della tragedia causata dall'epidemia di peste del 1348, mette la sua arte a disposizione di un grande disegno pastorale: dire della misericordia di Dio verso gli uomini e indicare la strada da compiere per realizzare il bene. La teologia francescana e agostiniana fanno la loro comparsa nelle prime tre novelle del Decameron dove Boccaccio parla di Dio e della Sua assoluta misericordia che non si arresta di fronte al peccato e della presenza dello Spirito Santo nella Chiesa di Cristo. Quella tomista è invece protagonista delle ultime dieci novelle che rappresentano gli esempi mostrati agli uomini affinché comprendano come si possa vincere il male compiendo il bene. In mezzo, ottantasette storie dove uomini e donne sono messi a nudo nelle loro piccolezze e fragilità dando vita a una commedia umana che si svolge sotto lo sguardo divertito ma compassionevole dell'autore.

Al tempo in cui scriveva, Boccaccio non godeva che di un riconoscimento limitato a gruppi di amici della sua città. Durante la peste, si inventò il Decameron, cento novelle ambientate nel tempo da lui vissuto, e con sorpresa risentita dei letterati di buon rango ebbe un enorme successo che durò nei secoli, pur sotterrato più volte a partire dal Seicento (con illustri accademici in testa) fino ai nostri giorni. Un grande uomo di cultura e spregiudicatezza quale Pier Paolo Pasolini, sensibile al valore di questo 'narratore di conte', alle sue favole dedicò un film." Fo e Boccaccio sono gente dello stesso mestiere: il loro incontro ha generato questo libro straordinariamente godibile, che esalta il ruolo storico dell'autore toscano. A fare da guida, da suggeritore e da contrappunto ci sono poi i dipinti di Dario Fo, che immergono la narrazione dentro fondali dai colori ora festosi ora scuri e profondi, ma incisi "dalla luce di taglio del sole".
