This is the earliest catalogue of the Uppsala University Library collections, perhaps the greatest in Sweden. A full catalogue of the collections was not published until 1814. Under the leadership of Erik Benzelius (1675-1743), the Library of the University of Upsala grew, benefiting from many important gifts. These included the 100 books and manuscripts described here which were collected and donated by Sparfvenfeldt. He was a diplomat and amateur linguist who collected many precious books and manuscripts on his travels in Russia, Europe, and northern Africa. Here he carefully describes the 41 Arabic, 8 Greek, and 7 Latin MSS including an eighth-century Greek text and an Italian Bible of 1474. The 41 printed books included five Chinese block-printed volumes, and also a famous world map (1674) by Ferdinand Verbiest.

A Bibliography of Eliza Haywood.
848pp., cloth, a very good copy. This is the first descriptive bibliography of the works of Eliza Haywood (1693??1756) and her partner, William Hatchett (1701??1749?). The works have been separated and organized using the principles outlined by P N Furbank and W R Owens in The Canonisation of Daniel Defoe. Evidence for and history of attribution is discussed within the headnotes, and biographical information is given wherever possible, along with the title's publishing history. The bibliography contains many fresh attributions, locates 'lost' and difficult to find Haywood titles and lists dozens of unrecognized translations. It also contains a record of every reprint, facsimile, micro-format reproduction and e-text of works by Haywood; as well as a complete description of all the works published by her and those written by William Hatchett. Likewise, there is an account of all the works that have been attributed to Haywood in the last three hundred years. The history, arguments and evidence for each attribution is considered in full, both for those works accepted as part of the Haywood canon and those rejected.

Il catalogo raccoglie un grandissimo numero di schede che testimoniano la monumentale raccolta di opere economiche e politiche che fanno parte della biblioteca di Luigi Einaudi, ad oggi conservata nell'omonima Fondazione torinese. Apre il primo volume (numeri 1- 3147) il saggio di einaudiano "Viaggio tra i miei libri" e, di seguito, "Luigi Einaudi bibliofilo" di Luigi Firpo; il secondo volume (numeri 3148 - 6258) si apre con la riproduzione di una minuta autografa di "Viaggio tra i miei libri". Il terzo volume, uscito nel 1991, e' il supplemento del Catalogo che presenta un aggiornamento circa le collezione di testi rari in possesso della Fondazione.
