Twelve full page illustrations on whiter stock than text and very clean with virtually no foxing to images. Though the illustrations are essentially the same as the those which adorned the English edition several have been modified to include additional material. The artists are D. Maclish 2 R. Doyle 4 J. Leech 5 and C. Stanfielf 1. A very scarce imprint usually found in blue cloth of the first American edition of Dickens's second Christmas book.
