Featured in the film are some of the earliest performances by The Clash The Sex Pistols Wayne County Johnny Thunders and Billy Idol. Letts continued to edit the film after this showing and the version that premiered in New York the following year ran 86 minutes. Laid in is a singing telegram birthday greeting for Chapman from Evelyn Keys in its original telex envelope.<br/><br/>A Japanese aircraft carrier is headed to Pearl Harbor December 6 1941 when it encounters an American yacht and sinks it. Sue Curry Chapman is the yacht's sole survivor and she is picked up by an American submarine which intercepts the proposed attack on Pearl Harbor and tries to warn American forces in advance. The next day they hear news of the attack over the radio and devise a plan to have the carrier pursue their submarine instead of heading to its intended target. <br/><br/>Set in the Pacific Ocean. <br/><br/>Tan titled self wrappers noted as Revised Final Draft on the front wrapper dated February 21 1942 with credits for screenwriter Aubrey Wisberg. 107 leaves with last page of text numbered 110. With a typed letter signed by Jerry Lewis and a second typed letter signed by Bobby Darin thanking Payne for his work on "Too Late Blues" 1961. The archive includes a set dressing estimate totaling $15246.00 a memo from Jerry Lewis thanking Payne for his work two typed letters signed one from Lewis and one from Darin one centerfold article from a magazine with a large color photograph of the set of "The Ladies Man" with Lewis grinning behind the camera and 72 black and white images of set design drawing reproductions and photographs of the set with Payne's holograph annotations to some of the set design drawing reproductions. Notable for its four story dollhouse-like set designed by Payne in which Lewis could film continuous shots by panning between rooms the set for "The Ladies Man" cost $350000.00 the most expensive for a family comedy to date in 1961. Lewis who also produced and directed the film stars as a man who swears off women once his girlfriend leaves him for another man but then begins a new job at an all-women's boarding house. The debut film of actress Lillian Briggs. Forty-five 4 x 5 inch photographs of the set plus five 8 x 10 inch photographs of the set and twenty-two 8 x 10 inch reproductions of set design drawings seven of which are on matte paper and the rest glossy with occasional holograph pencil annotations. Christopher Pride wants to take his girlfriend Dr. Elizabeth Acord on a trip to Paris for a year where he wants to propose to her and live their honeymoon. However she is a psychiatrist and cannot bear to leave her three patients behind while she goes abroad. Turns out each woman is dealing with problems following failed relationships with men so without Acord's knowledge Pride decides to "date" each of the women acting as the men of their dreams in order to cure them in hopes of going on his vacation. Blue titled wrappers noted as Final White on the front wrapper dated September 13 1965 with credits for screenwriter Samuel Taylor and producer-director Jerry Lewis. 127 leaves with last page of text numbered 119.
