Prima edizione, tirata in soli 200 esemplari, di questa raccolta di scritti inediti di Luigi Castellini (Roma 18 febbraio 1863 - 1887) nato da famiglia di origine marchigiana, sotto lo pseudonimo Lorenzo Nicastro, collaborò con periodici maceratesi come "La Vedetta", "L'Ateneo marchigiano" (del quale fu anche un fondatore), il "Vessillo delle Marche". L'opera raccoglie interessanti scritti sui dialetti marchigiani, fiabe leggende e credenze popolari, proverbi, canti popolari, la conzonetta del Pecoraio in Maceratese, i Trovatori che il Petrarca nomina nel IV de' Trionfi, alcuni Trovatori non ricordati dal Petrarca nel IV de Trionfi ecc. ecc. Gli scritti di Castelani nascono dai suoi studi negli archivi marchigiani.

I codici petrarcheschi latini della Biblioteca nazionale marciana di Venezia
La presente tesi di dottorato censisce i codici petrarcheschi latini conservati nella Biblioteca Marciana di Venezia. Si è realizzata una scheda di descrizione analitica dei testimoni riscontrati, che fornisce informazioni sia sul contenuto del manoscritto che sulla sua materialità. È emerso che si trovano in Marciana 69 codici contenti quasi tutte le opere petrarchesche, a eccezione dei discorsi tenuti in nome di Giovanni Visconti, delle orazioni erudite, di quasi tutte invettive (ma sono attestate quelle Contra medicum), dell’epistola Posteritati e delle Orationes; tuttavia, nessuna di esse vanta più di quattro occorrenze; particolarmente apprezzati risultano scritti morali come Secretum e Liber sine nomine. Tra i manoscritti più illustri spiccano l’”archetipo abbandonato” dei libri XX-XXIII delle Familiares, parzialmente autografo di Gasparo Scuaro Broaspini con chiose di Petrarca (Lat. XIII, 70), e il Lat. XIV, 202, raro testimone della redazione gamma della Vita Scipionis. Autori: Aurelio Malandrino.

Le Rime di F. Petrarca con l'interpretazione di G. Leopardi e gli argomenti di A. Marsand. L'Orlando furioso di L. Ariosto e le dichiarazioni di G. Barotti con parecchie di altri al Poema. La Gerusalemme Liberata di T. Tasso secondo la lezione e le annotazioni scelte da G. Gherardini. Opera in 2 volumi in 4to, mm. 175x255; pag.VI+738(1); segue fino a pag. 1552. Frontespizi in elegante cornice tipografica, volumi illustrati da 12 incisioni in acciao fuori testo protette da veline. Belle legature coeve in mezza pelle con nervature, titoli e fregi dorati ai dorsi. Sui piatti in percallina, dedica impressa e dorata, del padre (Agostino Paradisi) al figlio (Luigi) come premio ed incoraggiamento. Ottima la conservazione. Codice inv.1031033
