Kiki's Memoirs
Paris: Edward W. Titus At the Sign of the Black Manikin Press 1930. Limited Edition. Paperback. Fine. Large squarish 8vo. Pp. 192. Illustrated with full b&w reproductions of Kiki's art along with portaits of her by Man Ray Foujita Kisling et al. Stiff printed wrappers. A Fine copy accompanied by the original printed red paper band intact as well as the prospectus. Housed in a linen-covered clamshell box with morocco spine label stamped with gilt lettering. A superb copy with no detracting qualities whatsoever. Hemingway declared this to be the only book introduction he would write such was his admiration for Kiki. The prospectus in four pages reprints the cover on the first page. The second and third pages run together horizontally and act as a broadside. The last page features a painting by Kiki. The wrap-around band has a slight diagonal crease but is otherwise fine. In sum a handsome package worthy of the sophisticated case in which it's protected. HANNEMAN B7.
