Historical Perspectives in the Development of Child Psychiatry ---- Sheldon T. Selesnick ---- The author pinpoints the significant contributions of pioneer psychiatrists and other major thinkers whose work went into conceptualizing and treating the child as an individual, the problem child, the intrapsychic problems of the child, and, most recently, the child's response to epigenetic influences.
