Siegmund Maybaum (1844-1919) , the main editor and contributor to this volume, was the founder and president of the German Rabbinical Society, and considered in his time the one of the most eloquent Rabbis in Germany. Hildesheimer ) and Pressburg (Bratislava) and at the university and rabbinical seminary of Breslau. He officiated as rabbi in Dolni-Kubin, Hungary (187073) , and Zatec, Bohemia (187381) .
