br. Le storie di questo libro hanno esordito su Repubblica-Palermo, poi sono state riprese e ripensate concatenandole in categorie arbitrarie ma non per questo meno vere. Dentro i miti & prodigi che popolano l'identità siciliana è giusto trovare i misteri del Pellegrino e la casa di Persefone, ma ci sono pure Dionisio e Archimede, il normanno Tancredi e l'ammiraglio Ruggero di Lauria. La rassegna dei riemersi accoglie un insolito Giovanni Meli accanto al viceré Caracciolo, a Tommaso Natale e al misterioso Saverio Scrofani. L'Unità rivendica la sua ricchezza di interpreti e passioni, Rosalino Pilo ed Eliodoro Lombardi arrivano in compagnia della poetessa Rosina Muzio Salvo. Spesso i nostri eroi sono parecchio permalosi: il loro portavoce è Ferrante Gonzaga, ma Cagliostro rifiuta sdegnoso il ruolo di comprimario e c'è anche Rosalia, pronta a svettare su carri trionfali che meravigliano il mondo. Quella che emerge è una Sicilia insolita, brulicante di protagonisti qualche volta sconosciuti e qualche volta, spesso, dimenticati. Una Sicilia che, messe da parte le abituali emergenze, lascia scorrere la sua storia contraddittoria e straordinaria attraverso la Porta Perpetua del Tempo.

brossura "A cosa deve le sue fortune una città come Firenze, la più piccola tra le grandi città del mondo? Agli artisti? Ai poeti? Alla bistecca? Alla "C" aspirata? Alla simpatia dei suoi cittadini? Forse quest'ultima un po' meno, ma mentre mi ponevo queste domande ho iniziato a prendere qualche appunto ed è nato un piccolo 'zibaldone' di pensieri in libertà. Un libretto nato per gioco, come spesso accade, e inizialmente stampato in poche copie da distribuire agli amici, che oggi vede la sua pubblicazione ufficiale in una nuova edizione ampliata ed arricchita. Il testo scorre come una chiacchierata tra amici, discutendo sulla modernità delle antichità di Firenze: città che vive di divertenti contraddizioni e nel continuo confronto di opposti sentimenti: guelfi e ghibellini, bianchi e neri, Chiesa e impero. Una passeggiata fortemente autobiografica attraverso le viuzze del centro storico, per mano a Dante, Brunelleschi e Pinocchio, chiacchierando con Masaccio e Antonio Meucci, ricordando l'origine di proverbi quasi dimenticati e le particolari regole grammaticali del vernacolo fiorentino."
