«Andare in mare senza barca». Le lettere di Monaldo Leopardi ad Annesio Nobili: un carteggio per «La voce della ragione»
brossura Tra il 1832 ed il 1835 Monaldo Leopardi intrattenne una intensa corrispondenza con il tipografo Annesio Nobili, titolare a Pesaro di uno stabilimento, dai cui torchi uscì il periodico "La Voce della Ragione", fondato e diretto dal Conte. Il corpus, composto di circa seicento missive, smembrato dal corso delle vicende storiche, è ora custodito in diverse biblioteche: la Comunale "Saffi" di Forlì nella sezione Piancastelli, la "Oliveriana" di Pesaro, la "Labronica" di Livorno, la "Mozzi-Borgetti" di Macerata ed il Centro Nazionale di Studi leopardiani di Recanati. Il volume propone un'indagine accurata dell'epistolario, che costituisce una fonte storica insostituibile per penetrare nell'officina redazionale del periodico misoneista e, attraverso la ricostruzione della figura del tipografo Annesio Nobili, aggiunge un tassello fondamentale per approfondire il panorama dell'editoria dello Stato Pontificio nell'Ottocento. Infine, le lettere sono un documento notevole dal punto di vista linguistico e dalla prospettiva del genere epistolare. Nella seconda sezione del volume l'appendice ospita il carteggio Leopardi-Nobili e permette di consultare le fonti sulla base delle quali è stata condotta l'indagine. La trascrizione del carteggio che, effettuata secondo criteri conservativi, riproduce fedelmente il testo, potrà fornire lo spunto per ulteriori studi del corpus.

Un'ampia raccolta di voci, espressioni, modi di dire che attraversano i secoli: da Santa Caterina a Cecco Angiolieri, da Adriano Politi a Girolamo Gigli, fino ai giorni nostri, fino alle voci dei popolani e dei contadini senesi. Il punto di riferimento ideale è Federigo Tozzi, con la sua lingua in bilico fra letteratura e parlato popolare di Siena e della sua campagna. Come nell'affresco del Buongoverno di Ambrogio Lorenzetti, le parole filtrano da dentro e da fuori le mura della città, mettendo in contatto territori differenti, vicini e lontani nello spazio e nel tempo. La lingua "senese" di Federigo Tozzi è un repertorio dove si ritrova la lingua dei nonni e quella dei bisnonni. È una lingua interessante come oggetto di studio storico, etimologico e filologico. Per i senesi è "aria di casa", che raccoglie conoscenze antiche e antichi saperi e che riserva molte sorprese. Sembra quasi di sentirle, come un'eco lontana eppure vivissima, le voci dei senesi di ieri che si mischiano con quelle dei senesi di oggi, con un legame che parla di comune appartenenza culturale, di storia e di tradizioni condivise.

La scrittura nietzscheana non è però autobiografica: essa dà voce ad una personalizzazione della filosofia, in cui non solo l'io autobiografico, ma anche la filosofia subiscono delle trasformazioni. Rileggendo in quest'ottica le questioni di soggetto, sostanza, linguaggio, Nietzsche si propone come filosofo di se stesso e narratore del proprio pensiero: come "autore postumo".

Poeta indefinibile, scrittore anarchico, viaggiatore irrequieto, Artaud (autore di scritti che, anche in Italia, hanno fatto scuola) venne recluso per nove anni, dal 1937 al 1946, in manicomio. Sottoposto a decine di elettroshock, usato come cavia, monitorato nei suoi comportamenti quasi fosse una bestia rara, e infine rilasciato su pressante richiesta di Picasso e Mirò, Artaud ci ha lasciato alcune tra le più sconcertanti e lucide invettive contro la medicina e la psichiatria moderne. Per contribuire a fare un po' di chiarezza su questa vicenda - vicenda spesso mitizzata, ma ancor più di frequente mal compresa - Sylvère Lotringer, professore alla Columbia University con la passione per le interviste e le ricerche sul campo, si rimette sulle tracce dello scrittore marsigliese, incontrando e intervistando, nel corso di un lavoro durato molti anni, gli psichiatri che si occuparono e, a modo loro, operarono sul "caso Artaud". Il risultato è sorprendente: dati, documenti, racconti farseschi e aneddoti inverosimili si fondono in una scrittura leggera e accattivante, ma al tempo stesso impietosa anche contro i numerosi adepti che, al pari degli psichiatri, vedevano in Artaud un caso esemplare da ammirare, curare forse, ma soprattutto da "venerare" e sfruttare: "Erano tutti matti", si legge nel finale, "questi fanatici di Artaud".

brossura Il volume uscì col contributo del Ministero dei Beni Culturali in occasione del 2° centenario della nascita di Giacomo Leopardi (1998). Le ricerche effettuate dall'autrice negli archivi di Parma, Modena, Bologna, Genova e La Spezia, alla ricerca di fonti inedite, hanno permesso di rivisitare alcuni momenti della biografia di Giacomo Leopardi e dei rapporti del Poeta con la politica attraverso i legami con Giacomo Tommasini e con il suo gruppo, di medici e non medici, amici del Poeta, ma anche patrioti, carbonari e poi mazziniani, che vissero coraggiosamente il loro ideale, come Ferdinando Maestri, Pietro Giordani, Paolo Toschi, Michele Colombo, Giuseppe Taverna oltre al gruppo di amici del Gabinetto Vieusseux a Firenze. In particolare l'autrice ha ricostruito l'ambiente bolognese al tempo in cui vi soggiornò il Leopardi dal luglio del 1825 e dai primi incontri coi giovani studenti, come lo spezzino Marco Colombo. Grazie al rapporto con Bologna, con i suoi abitanti e con l'ambiente di casa Tommasini il Leopardi si allontanò dalle posizioni legittimiste e reazionarie del padre Monaldo ed elesse quella dei Tommasini come sua seconda famiglia. Fu a loro ed al padre che il poeta indirizzò le sue ultime lettere da Napoli.

Dopo i primi edifici neoclassici, Aalto si votò a idee basate sul funzionalismo, spostandosi in seguito verso strutture più organiche, con mattoni e legno al posto di intonaco e acciaio. Oltre a progettare edifici, arredi, lampade e oggetti in vetro con la moglie Aino, dipingeva ed era appassionato di viaggi. Fermamente convinto che gli edifici avessero un ruolo cruciale nel dare forma alla società, Aalto una volta disse: "Compito dell'architettura è valorizzare le qualità umane".

Quarter black morocco with maroon pebbled cloth boards titling and composer's name gilt to upper. 1f. recto title verso blank 1f. recto cast list verso blank 312 i blank pp. including occasional blank leaves. With "Rhodope" at head of cast list and prelude. The work consists of a prelude; Act 1 in 10 scenes; Act II in 8 scenes; a ballet; and Act III in 9 scenes. Characters in the opera include Amasis King of Egypt Béréel his servant Hemblond a steward at the palace Ali guardian of the Temple of Venus Rhodope a courtesan Nofré her servant the Pharoah and various additional servants courtesans etc. Characters in the ballet include Reine Beauté Le Prince charmant Le Reine des Joies La Reine des Douleurs Les Caprices Les Illusions Les Rêves les Joies Les Désenchantements and Les Wresses. The action takes place in Memphis Egypt ancient capital of Aneb-Hetch the original name of Lower Egypt in 500 B.C. With notation in black; part identifications performance notes and occasional notation in red; and text in green ink. With descriptions of each act and the ballet preceding music. Binding worn rubbed and bumped; cloth to lower stained and abraided at upper portion. Some leaves very slightly trimmed at upper and outer edges often affecting pagination but just occasionally very slightly touching text; name preceding Durey's name on title erased. An unpublished and unrecorded opera. Lovreglio was a composer conductor and musicologist. Born in Naples grandson of the flautist and composer Donato Lovreglio 1841-1907 he died in Nice. Lovreglio played the violin at La Scala under Toscanini from 1917-1919 at which time he emigrated to France teaching at the Collège Parc Impérial in Nice from 1940-1945; among his students was the Armenian composer Levon Arami Astvatsatrian born 1922. He wrote two operas three ballets stage music two masses and symphonic and chamber music. The present work is not included in Lovreglio's works list in Wikipedia.
