ril. Se vi dicessero che senza la guerra in Libia e la guerra civile in Ucraina l'Isis sarebbe ancora un gruppo terrorista minore? Se vi dicessero che senza le pressioni della Francia l'Isis non avrebbe mai ricevuto il decisivo appoggio della Turchia? Se vi dicessero che senza le prigioni segrete della Cia l'Isis non sarebbe mai nato? Non era mai accaduto in Europa che si verificasse una tale psicosi di massa nei confronti del terrorismo. Questa volta i nemici non vengono da fuori, sono nati nelle nostre città, vivono nei nostri quartieri. L'Isis ha portato il terrore fin sull'uscio di casa nostra. Ma per combatterlo bisogna conoscerlo. E per sconfiggerlo bisogna smettere di aiutarlo. A volte la realtà dei fatti è molto distante da quella che ci viene raccontata dai media. La cattiva informazione è stata la miglior alleata di Al Baghdadi e dei suoi seguaci. È questo il terreno che gli ha permesso di creare un Stato e di terrorizzare il Pianeta intero.

"Il Santo Sufi della Valle del Nilo. SayhMuhammad 'Utman 'Abduhu (1904-1983) e la tariqa Burhaniyya" analizza una tra le figure più carismatiche del Sufismo del Ventesimo secolo nella regione della Valle del Nilo, un esempio emblematico della persistenza del pensiero e della devozione sufi all'interno delle società arabe. Al centro del libro è il ruolo del maestro sufi come modello di perfezione per i propri discepoli nella società araba contemporanea: il processo storico di consolidamento e diffusione del Sufismo tra Egitto e Sudan, l'elemento dottrinale, il metodo e gli adattamenti pratici scaturiti dal cambiamento sociale. La vita e l'insegnamento di sayh Muhammad 'Utman 'Abduhu — per i discepoli, Fahr al-Din, ossia «Orgoglio della fede» — si distinguono per ricchezza e unicità nella storia del Sufismo presente nei territori attorno al Nilo, consentendo di ripensare stereotipi e semplificazioni sulla sopravvivenza dell'insegnamento sufi nel mondo odierno. La biografia del maestro sudanese rappresenta, pertanto, un caso paradigmatico di compimento del sentiero sufi, oltre che di perseveranza dell'iniziato teso a percorrere la via fino a diventare maestro e a far rivivere una tra le più consolidate tradizioni sufi della Valle del Nilo.
