Con 4 stupende tavole f.t., più volte ripiegate, disegnate e incise in rame da Filocamo, F. Juvarra, Barbieri e Arena. ''Uno dei più rari libri di feste siciliane'' (Mira) composto per celebrare l'acclamazoine di Carlo VI Imperatore in Messina il 20 ottobre del 1720. La data venne scelta in concomitanza con l'anniversario dell'ingresso di Carlo V nella città. Gli ultimi 3 ff. n.n. contengono con titolo proprio e data di stampa 1721: il ''Simulacro della Gloria scolpito nel cuore di Messina. Serenata a quattro voci posta in musica dal Signor Dottor D. Francesco Tozzi''. Dell'autore Charelli si sa che nacque a Messina nel 1658 e fu gesuita. . La tavola incisa da Paolo Filocamo è una magnifica veduta a volo d'uccello della città (mm.330x400 e margini), ogni dettaglio (il porto con le navi e i galeoni, le case, le chiese, il faro..) è delineato con una nitidezza fuori dal comune; in alto compare la Madonna della Lettera attorniata da un trionfo di Angeli che reggono lo stemma di Messina e una pergamena. Le tavole dello Juvarra raffigurano il trono eretto per il monarca e il Collegio dei Gesuiti ornato con arazzi, fiori e fiaccole, mostrando l'ingegno del grande architetto già giunto alla fama a Torino e Roma. Infine la tavola delineata dal Barbieri e incisa da Arena è una veduta dell'arco trionfale eretto per l'occasione. La stampa tipografica di questo rarissimo libro venne affidata a Michele Chiaramonte, grande tipografo messinese attivo tra 1720 e 1753, che per quest'opera si associò agli eredi di Vincenzo D'Amico.
