Cambridge authorizes James Macmanus Esq. to appear on his behalf. Witnessed by Andrew Curtin. Signed on the reverse by James Gilliland prothonotary and Samuel Milliken. James Macmanus was an attorney in Centre County Pa. Peter Cambridge had a general store in Bellefonte Centre Co. Andrew Curtin 1815-1894 was from Bellefonte Pa. and was a lawyer before serving as governor of Pennsylvania from 1861 to 1867; he later served in the U.S. House of Representatives and as U.S. Ambassador to Russia. James Gilliland 1804-1889 was prothonotary of Centre Co. from 1831 to 1836. During the Civil War Gov. Curtin appointed Gilliland commissary and quartermaster of the 1st Regiment of Pennsylvania Veterans; later he was transferred to Washington as assistant agent for Pennsylvania. In Near Fine Condition: folded; just starting to separate along one fold; back is slightly soiled; otherwise clean and solid. unknown

Cameron traveled extensively and generally alone publishing books on Africa South America Mexico and the South Seas among others. Although she has been described by some critics as more of a globetrotting tourist than an explorer see Robinson p. 177 and the DNB she was elected to membership in the Royal Geographical Society in 1913 suggesting her contemporaries at least felt otherwise. Magnificant piece of vintage G.E. Radiotron tube ephemera. Printed upon sturdy card stock in blue and white, this 7.25" x 3.4" three-panel item folds out to 7.25" x 10.1". Inside of first panel explains bridge scoring, complete with insert which slides vertically to reveal scoring for various tricks. Inside of panel two is a (complete) bridge scorepad bearing a few light pencil notes. Inside of third panel lists dozens of international short wave stations. Insert in third panel slides vertically to display the frequency, call letters and location of many Canadian radio stations. Back of third panel lists dozens of additional international short wave stations and the vertically sliding insert displays the call letters, frequency and location of many U.S. radio stations.
