Odes from the Divan of Hafiz Freely Rendered from Literal Translations by Richard Le Gallienne
Boston: L. C. Page & Company 1903. This is the printing in green gilt-titled boards with tan cloth spine bearing a green title box. The text is still in essentially Good shape on nice laid deckle-edged paper. One flaw of note though: The front cover board was dinged from above and creased from the upper spine running horizontally across the upper front through the titles. This damaged the front hinge area and this was repaird with a strip of brown paper tape. Some damage was also done to the binding edge area of the text to the end of Gallienne's Introduction but we've touched up that and a short tear to cloth at upper spine joint with archival repair adhesive. So I'll just say that this is still a good otherwise sound unmaked reading copy of the book that can still present well on your shelf. The fore-corner paper of the covers is frayed a bit on all four tips. Sold as is but we don't think you'll be disappointed understanding that. Reprint 1905. Hard Cover. Acceptable/No Jacket. Octavo.
