The Swedish Palace in Istanbul documents that relationship in both languages. Included are many beautiful illustrations and historic photos. Swedish Vikings served in the Byzantine army and were among the first to meet the Turkic peoples coming into Anatolia around one thousand years ago. Sweden and Turkey concluded commercial agreements in the 18th century and joined into military alliances that earned Sweden the honorary title of Turkey's oldest friend. In 1924 Sweden and the new Turkish Republic under Kemal Ataturk concluded a Treaty of Mutual Friendship and Cooperation. Since 1757 Sweden has owned a Palace in Istanbul, albeit a modest one, for her diplomatic missions. This site continues to retain its historical significance as a focal point of Turkish-Swedish relations, particularly in view of Turkey's status as a candidate to the European Union.".

scarce miniature Hilye by an Ottoman calligrapher mainly came from Bursa in Turkey and lived in Bagdad. Only one work by Suleyman Vehbi was recorded by Ibn ul Emin Mahmud Kemal Inal Son Hattatlar p. 451 in Top Kapi Museum written in 1247 H. 1830 . Also there is an example of the calligrapher student's; Halil Sukru in the Turk Hattatlari of Sevket Rado p. 210. The example shows a typical script else in the text and signature of Suleyman el Vehbi. measurments: 14 x 9 cm. smaller than hand .

Original sepia toning photograph of Sultan Abd�lmecid. Written 'Padisah sultan Aziz. Babamin yaninda �alisdigi padisah' on right-down of the photo. Abd�lmecid I or Sultan Abd�lmecid the Reorganizer due to the Tanzimat reforms he conducted he is also known as Abdulmejid and similar spellings was the 31st Sultan of the Ottoman Empire and succeeded his father Mahmud II on 2 July 1839. His reign was notable for the rise of nationalist movements within the empire's territories. Abdulmejid wanted to encourage Ottomanism among the secessionist subject nations and stop the rise of nationalist movements within the empire but failed to succeed despite trying to integrate non-Muslims and non-Turks more thoroughly into Ottoman society with new laws and reforms. He tried to forge alliances with the major powers of Western Europe namely the United Kingdom and France who fought alongside the Ottoman Empire in the Crimean War against Russia. In the following Congress of Paris on 30 March 1856 the Ottoman Empire was officially included among the European family of nations. Abdulmejid's biggest achievement was the announcement and application of the Tanzimat reorganization reforms which were prepared by his father and effectively started the modernization of the Ottoman Empire in 1839. Bahaddin Mehmed Veled, more popularly known as Sultan Walad was the eldest son of Celaleddin Rumi, Persian poet and Sufi, and one of the founders of the Mawlawiya order. The Diwan of Sultan, in Persian contains 9256 ghazals and qasida, and 455 quatrains. Approximately there are 12500 lines.
