Balbo Italo
La centuria alata
br.

New York: S. Tuttle for the Authors 1847. Book. Good. Full-Leather. 8vo - over 7" - 9" tall. Originally published 1844. Howes B 121 later edition not noted in Howes -- unlisted 4th printing following editions of 1845 and 1846. Full leather considerably rubbed with exposed corners. Lacks spine panel; both boards still anchored by binding cords. Thus best considered as binding copy. Marbled endpapers. 512 pp. illus. w/ engraved plates figures set into text. Double engraved frontis. with tissue guard both engravings hand colored. Interior ranges from clean and bright to moderately foxed with most pronounced foxing as expected proximate to plates.
