My listing includes PHOTO OF ACTUAL BOOK for sale. VERY GOOD PLUS. No dust jacket as issued or missing. Sewn binding. Boards and spine are green cloth lettering is gilt on spine and front. Back cover has slightly bent corners some edge wear and minor marks from adjacent book on shelf but no rips or stains. Spine has some edge wear all four sides but no rips is clean and quite bright has a few small creases top and bottom. Front cover is same as back cover with a few marks from what looks like black sealing wax. Page edges are tinted as issued slightly sunned. Binding is a bit loose. Inside front and back covers have a bit of age darkening also ink stamp “Property of the B.C. Mountaineering Clubâ€. On ffep is attached the Rules of the B.C. Mountaineering Club attached only at the top of the small green sheet. There are several places where the book has been over-opened and spine cloth is exposed but all pages are in place and none are missing or loose. The top and side edges of the book are uneven due to this but no pages missing. Inside of book is quite clean bright clear flat. There are one or two pressed dried flowers inside matching the ones illustrated. A few pages have miscellaneous tiny dot marks. Quite a heavy book. Wonderful drawings and photos printed only one side. Rare title. Illustrated with Water Colour drawings and photographs by Mrs. Charles Shaffer. Colour illustrations have as issued crepe paper/tissue facing sheets. Black/white photo plates. G. P. Putnam’s Sons, N.Y. hardcover
