Così si legge all'inizio dell'opera.(segue)- Mezzi sicuri per distruggere i vermi roditori del frumento in erba e su le spiche, oltre quelli indicati dal Prof. Corti che approvati dal Governo di Modena furono pubblicati nel 1777 e che per essersi resi rari qui si ristampano a pubblico vantaggio, con una tavola in rame. Modena, Vincenzi, 1833. Pp. 100, con anche 1 tavola f.t., ripieg., con dettagliata spiegazione delle 9 figure rappresentate (vermi e scarafaggi). Contemporary giltstamped cloth with the giltstamped arms of Pope Gregory XVI on both covers. All edges gilt. Illustrations for the cavalcade celebrating the 850th anniversary of the arrival of a miraculous statue of the Virgin Mary on a boat in Hanswijk. The statue was transferred to Mechelen in 1273 and became the protector of the city, housed in the Basilica of Our Lady of Hanswijk. From 1738 onwards a grand procession was staged every twenty-five years. BREVE DESRIZIONE(SIC) DELLA MACCHINA AEROSTATICA PER L'ESPERIENZA DA ESEGUIRSI IN BOLOGNA NEL SETTEMBRE 1812.

All'occhietto Descrizione della nuova macchina aerostatica. "Rara edizione originale" di questa plaquette scritta da Zambeccari, in cui descrive l'aerostato usato il 21 settembre 1812. Cfr. Brockett, 13146.Tra i personaggi più interessanti, ai primi dell'Ottocento troviamo il conte bolognese Francesco Zambeccari (1752-1812), che compì numerosi voli in Italia e all'estero utilizzando anche un aerostato a doppia camera con la parte superiore gonfiata di idrogeno e la parte inferiore funzionante come mongolfiera grazie a un fornello a spirito. Zambeccari fu anche un ingegnoso inventore. Realizzò alcuni strumenti di misura, come un dinamometro che gli serviva per misurare la tensione delle corde; la stadera anemometrica, che valutava l'intensità delle correnti atmosferiche e il cavo stabilizzatore d'aerostato, il guide rope, che sarebbe stato poi usato da tanti aeronauti, tra cui Andrée e Nobile. Zambeccari progettò anche il pallone con il quale Lunardi compì le prime ascensioni sul suolo inglese. Il primo volo del conte bolognese ebbe luogo a Londra il 22 marzo 1785. L'impresa più epica di Zambeccari fu il volo del 7-8 ottobre 1803. Insieme con due compagni, tra i quali il suo allievo Pasquale Andreoli, Zambeccari decollò da Bologna a notte fonda a bordo di un'aero-mongolfiera.. Egli continuò nelle sue esperienze aerostatiche fino al fatale tentativo del 21 settembre 1812. Nonostante la pericolosità intrinseca dei palloni misti a idrogeno e aria calda, fu accertato che l'incidente che costò la vita a Zambeccari, non fu causato dall'incendio del gas infiammabile, ma dal rovesciamento dello spirito del fornello, che procurò ustioni letali allo sfortunato aeronauta. A prova di ciò sta il fatto che l'involucro a idrogeno del pallone dell'aeronauta bolognese venne recuperato intatto e successivamente riutilizzato da alcuni suoi allievi, così Majrani M., Aerostati, p. 98. Due tavv. restaurate con nastro adesivo, altrimenti esemplare ben conservato.
