Nella struttura del racconto, il filo narrativo degli eventi comprende anche forme di dialogo tra i personaggi che rendono la lettura ancora più gradevole. Questo modo di narrare rivela i trascorsi radiofonici e televisivi dell'Autrice che riesce a dare immediatezza al racconto creando quasi un ambiente virtuale che accompagna chi legge.

Ha colto fin dall'inizio la grande promessa inclusa nella sua chiamata al sacerdozio: Chi lo chiamava, un Altro, avrebbe compiuto il suo desiderio di realizzazione. Per questo ha sempre obbedito, con impegno, serietà e «senza sotterfugi», come amava ripetere. Si lasciava condurre dalla mano del Signore, riconoscendo che era questa stessa mano che gli donava l'indomito desiderio di pienezza, che l'ha reso capace di scelte coraggiose e soprattutto di appassionarsi ai compiti - sempre più importanti - che via via gli venivano affidati. Ha imparato ogni momento a non anteporre i suoi piani a quelli di Dio e ad accettare, alla fine con totale amoroso abbandono, la modalità del compimento che il Signore aveva predisposto per lui, perché la sua vita conoscesse una fecondità, che stupiva lui per primo. Il suo non è mai stato un cammino solitario: aveva veramente il dono dell'amicizia. Chiamato al sacerdozio, si disponeva a servire la Chiesa. Il provvidenziale incontro con il Servo di Dio don Luigi Giussani gli ha permesso di esplicitare la natura esperienziale della fede e gli ha rivelato la profondità della Chiesa come compagnia, la sua natura di Comunione, facendo di lui un educatore ed un autentico interprete dell'ecclesiologia del Concilio Vaticano II, non solo nel campo del diritto canonico, l'ambito in cui si svolse la sua brillante carriera accademica. Eugenio Corecco, con i suoi studi e soprattutto con la sua vita di fede, ha dato un contributo, ancora in buona parte da esplorare, al diritto, alla teologia e alla pastorale del XX secolo. br. Quella di Romero è una grande storia in un Paese che ha avuto anni terribili. Mostra come un vescovo e una Chiesa possono essere uno spazio di pace, mentre tutto crolla sotto i colpi di una violenza insensata. In una situazione diffi cilissima e polarizzata, Romero fu vescovo di tutti perché amico dei poveri e della pace. I poveri erano al centro delle sue preoccupazioni, perché egli riconosceva in loro la misteriosa presenza del Signore. La vicinanza ai poveri fu la bussola della sua vita. Come predicava il 5 febbraio 1978: «C'è un criterio per sapere se Dio sta vicino o lontano da noi: chiunque si preoccupi dell'affamato, del nudo, del povero, dello scomparso, del torturato, del prigioniero, di tutta questa carne che soffre, ha vicino Dio». Romero consolava il suo popolo, fatto di contadini umiliati da secoli, di donne e uomini senza futuro. Era la loro speranza e la loro voce. Una figura di grande spessore spirituale: non un politico, ma un pastore. Un nuovo Santo amico dei poveri e uomo di pace.

ill., ril. Tutte le volte che un artista si appresta a realizzare un ritratto non può fare a meno di interrogarsi sulla posa da dare al soggetto. Lo raffigurerà in piedi, seduto oppure disteso? Quale sentimento trasparirà dall'espressione del suo volto? Le mani saranno incrociate sul petto o intente a compiere qualche rito apotropaico? Certo, un dipinto ci cattura in primo luogo per la qualità della pittura e per l'identità del protagonista, ma ogni gesto, espressione o postura del corpo è in realtà la chiave di uno scrigno all'interno del quale si possono scovare tracce dei costumi di un particolare periodo storico e retaggi di culture lontane nel tempo e nello spazio. E chi meglio di Desmond Morris poteva raccogliere la sfida di raccontare una storia del linguaggio del corpo che fosse anche una delizia per la curiosità del lettore? Coniugando le sue due anime di etologo e di artista surrealista, l'autore ci guida in un singolare percorso attraverso le pose che per secoli - dalla statuaria romana fino alla cultura pop - hanno solleticato l'attenzione degli appassionati d'arte. Scopriremo così perché Napoleone aveva sempre la mano destra infilata nel panciotto e perché i sovrani erano spesso ritratti con un piede rivolto verso lo spettatore. Se poi è vero che alcuni gesti come il pugno agitato in aria hanno valore universale, una linguaccia può essere interpretata come manifestazione di una natura demoniaca o come semplice insolenza infantile a seconda dell'epoca in cui compare. Con le sue magistrali intuizioni, Morris ci racconta come gli artisti sono riusciti a dare forma nelle loro opere ai mutamenti che, nel corso dei secoli, hanno interessato gli usi e le convenzioni sociali. Nel farlo, incappa in sorprendenti somiglianze ed eterni ritorni riscoprendo gesti da tempo dimenticati e inondando di nuova luce anche i capolavori che ci sembravano più familiari.

brossura Donna impegnata sulla frontiera dell'educazione e dei diritti dei popoli, a partire dagli anni sessanta Linda Bimbi ha lasciato il segno del suo impegno sia in America latina che in Europa. Nella sua figura convergono il messaggio evangelico e le mobilitazioni al fianco dei dannati della Terra, come superamento del confine tra impegno pastorale e quello politico, in cui la fede è legata e non sovrapposta alla vita militante, nella prospettiva della liberazione dei popoli. Linda Bimbi è stata una donna di frontiera, una militante dell'"utopia-progetto", proiettata verso la piena affermazione dei diritti umani a livello internazionale, ma sempre cosciente che questa "è molto lontana dal realizzarsi, però sappiamo anche che ogni giorno si fa qualche piccolo passo di cui non possiamo verificare la portata, ma ogni giorno si fa qualcosa per raggiungerla". Le sue parole così come il suo agire hanno contribuito a delineare un nuovo modo di intendere i rapporti tra Nord e Sud del mondo, muovendo nella permanente ricerca di nuove soggettività sociali, culturali e politiche, offrendo al tempo stesso una lucida interpretazione dei processi di trasformazione globale.
