The fifteen relief engravings by Crite hand printed on Japanese Kitikata paper at Evans Editions. The text paper was made at Cartiere Enrico Magnani. Plates printed on recto and verso of four leaves. The text has been set in Monotype Caslon with Romulus heads at Golgonooza Letter Foundry by Julia Ferrari. "Typographical design is by Dan Carr who drew the verse numerals and cast them by hand into punches for typesetting." The book was printed by Wild Carrot Letterpress. Full refund if not satisfied. “Revelation was written at the height of Christians’ persecution at the hands of the Romans. The work cries passionately against the power of evil and exhorts Christians to resist even at the cost of martyrdom a message that has a special resonance for an African‑American artist such as Mr. Crite. 1910. PHOTOGRAPHY - 20TH CENTURY ORIGINAL PRESS PHOTOGRAPH - ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT ON NEW YORK CITY MAYOR WILLIAM JAY GAYNOR 1910. American Press Association event occurring August 6 1910 reverse of photo dated August 10. Silver gelatin print photograph 6 9/16 x 8 1/2 inches. Small chip and slight creasing to bottom lower corner faint impression to top from marking on reverse. The three men in the photo are framed from the torso up. The photograph shows the wounded Mayor Gaynor who survived the attempt but died three years later from lingering effects supported by two unidentified "friends." The reverse bears typed notes to the effect that the photo was taken by the American Press Association's photographer unnamed and that the photo was taken moments after Commissioner Edwards knocked the would-be assassin a disgruntled former city employee to the ground. Gaynor was aboard ship in New York Harbor about to depart for a European vacation when the attempt occurred. He was shot at point blank range in the throat. The outlines of the Mayor's hat and coat as well as the two men's faces have been enhanced by hand presumably for press reproduction. unknown

Detailed technical information is given on each image as well as the location and circumstances of the shot. Includes an original Kimura photograph of a lady holding an opened magazine with a nude picture that was printed by Koishi Kiyoshi. Unusual and interesting work. Pat Albeck : queen of the tea towel
<p>Pat Albeck who died in September 2017 was a prolific and well-known textile and homewear designer affectionately known as 'the Queen of the Tea Towel'. Her obituary appeared in The Times and the Guardian and she was the guest on Desert Island Discs a few years ago. Pat started designing in the 1950s and continued working throughout her life including for John Lewis and Emma Bridgewater. She's best known for her work with the National Trust for whom she designed some 300 tea towels from the 1970s to the present day. The book will show 80 of Pat's tea towel designs. Her son Matthew Rice also an illustrator and designer gives a fascinating insight into the design process for each towel. 112 pages : illustrations chiefly color ; 26 cm.
