Seit 1936 auch Ehrenmitglied, spielte sie zunächst in Stücken Wedekinds, Hauptmanns und Ibsens, später vorwiegend Königinnen und mütterliche Frauen und galt weithin als vorzügliche Charakterdarstellerin. Zu ihren Hauptrollen zählten Desdemona, Hedda Gabler und Helena in "Vor Sonnenaufgang". Ihre einzige Filmrolle war die des Fräulein Munk in Walter Reischs "Silhouetten" (1936).

Tight and nice first edition of this entertaining heavily-illustrated "scrapbook" of the romantic musical film version of "South Pacific" -- with a choice autograph twist: Affixed to a special heavy stock sheet tipped in before the first text page are bold signatures of three cast members all on fine matching heavy stock 5" X 3" cards. Top to bottom: JOHN KERR 1931-2013 who plays Lt. Joseph Cable who signs in black fineline and dates it 18 January 1974 at upper right; FLOYD M. SIMMONS 1923-2008 two-time bronze-medal winning Olympic decathlon athlete who plays Commander Bill Harbison who signs in black fineline and dates it 28 June 1985 at upper right; and RAY WALSTON 1914-2001 who plays Luther Billis but is best known as television's "My Favorite Martian" who signs in blue ballpoint and dates it 8 February 1990 at upper right.
