‎Pieter Bruegel de Oude (1525/30-1569) is een van de beroemdste schilders van de Nederlanden. Frank Steyaert was born at Dendermonde, in Belgium, in 1953. A multidisciplinary artist with a vast technical background, he is a ceramicist and a creator of jewels, prints, furniture, and monumental terracotta pieces integrated in architectural projects. These less known aspects came under the spotlight for the first time with the various versions of the ceramic shipwrecks for which he has become famous. Ludovic Recchia, the Artistic Director of the Keramis Centre, has brought together several authors, in particular Frédéric Bodet, Stéphanie Le Follic-Hadida, Marc Dubois, and Carine Verleye, who throw light on the eclectic works of this astonishing artist. This monograph is published in collaboration with Keramis, which is holding a major retrospective dedicated to the artist.
