Contains short samples of two other songs. The writer of the lyrics to this piece Jean Aylwin was better known as a singer and actress particularly for her character roles in Edwardian musical comedies. Aylwin both her and Burns being Scottish wrote the lyrics in dialect "The message I wad gie ye noo/Whatever may be fa/Is never mind the lowrin' cloud/The sun's no far a." A photo of Aylwin appears on the front cover of this obscure piece dedicated to the memory of poet Robert Burns; OCLC locates only a single holding and it appears to be equally scarce in the trade.
