A tutti però farebbe bene, al fisico e anche... al portafoglio, fare un po' di quotidiano movimento in bicicletta. La soluzione si chiama bici elettrica a pedalata assistita. Questo libro informa accuratamente chi decide di diventare un "elettrociclista" e vuole sapere che cosa va a comprare. Una bici elettrica ha infatti un prezzo non trascurabile ed è quindi importante valutare bene l'acquisto a seconda delle disponibilità economiche e delle proprie esigenze pratiche. Paolo Volpato spiega in modo chiaro e dettagliato le possibili alternative che offre il mercato: ad esempio, la differenza tra una bici con sensore di rotazione dei pedali e una con sensore di coppia; quella tra una bici con motore al mozzo e una col motore centrale; o quella tra una bici con batteria sul tubo obliquo del telaio e una con batteria sul portapacchi posteriore. Completano il manuale indicazioni su come garantire una corretta manutenzione del mezzo e su come ci si può assemblare da soli una ebike.
