Inscribed later printing with an original watercolor by Yashima this illustrated collection of Korean folk tales "changed elaborated and combined" these stories for an American audience. This book of retellings of Korean folk tales was in part an effort to familiarize America with their Korean allies as the fight against Communism wore on in the Cold War.
