Acqui, 1928), ancora oggi del tutto sconosciuto, incarna pienamente la figura del tipografo ?militante?, amante e conoscitore della migliore tradizione tipografica italiana attento anche ai nuovi sviluppi della tipografia e alle problematiche di categoria. Il suo ?Pagine di arte tipografica? (1918) viene ora ristampato in facsimile per mantenere intatto il suo stile tipografico, sobrio ed essenziale. L?edizione comprende una lunga introduzione e una bibliografia che costituisce l?ossatura del saggio introduttivo dei testi marinelliani riprodotti. The Umbrian printer Angelo Marinelli (b. Citt? di Castello 1877, d. Acqui 1928) still today unknown, embodies the figure of the ?militant? printer, admirer of and expert on the finest Italian printing traditions yet conscious of the progress and problems in this field. To maintain intact his sombre and essential printing style a fac-simile of his ?Pagine di arte tipografica? (1918) is now reprinted. A lengthy introduction and bibliography create the framework for the introductory essay of the Marinellian texts that are reproduced in this edition. 286 gr. 124 p.
