I Sex Pistols, urlando che non c'era più futuro, ne hanno inaugurato uno nuovo. La loro rivolta ha aperto a una miriade di nuove possibilità per la loro generazione, per quelle a venire, per tutti. A partire dal concerto alla Lesser Free Trade Hall di Manchester del 4 giugno 1976, nulla è stato più come prima. Con la loro sfrontatezza, senza volerlo, i Sex Pistols hanno riproposto le domande classiche della filosofia: Cosa posso? Cosa so? Cosa sono? Non erano dei filosofi, non volevano fare filosofia, ma ci hanno regalato suoni, parole e concetti di portata filosofica per rispondere in modo nuovo a vecchie domande. La speranza è che i percorsi, le linee di fuga, i concatenamenti, raccolti e accennati in questo volume, possano contribuire a testimoniare la forza dell'evento Sex Pistols.
