1923344 pages. Index. "An account of the transactions by which Germany during the Great War was able to obtain supplies prior to her collapse under the pressure of economic forces." - subtitle. Usual library markings. Somewhat above-average wear. Back hinge partially open. Gift greetings upon verso of frontispiece. Prior owner has affixed a pocket inside back board which contains a printed 2007 internet article which alleges that this book documents how 'the banksters' propped up Germany with supplies, thus extending WWI by three years. The article alleges that famous British WWI martyr Edith Cavell discovered this and was thus killed by a German firing squad, rather than being imprisoned for three months as was normal. A worthy copy of this intriguing work. Book
1946152 pages. Black and white photographic plates. "This book does not claim to have said anything new, but is rather a reviewing of an old story through an individual lens which may bring into a new perspective the leading characters and events of that story. It is a story that can never be exhausted, and is always unfolding; that fact, and the narrow, unsatisfactory method of disconnecting teaching, and spiritualising in general practice, are my excuses for attempting to give it as one continual history, 'The Drama of the Ages', whose pivotal centre is Christ Himself and His teaching." - from Preface. Above-average wear to blue boards. Infrequent high-lighting to contents. Sound reference copy. Book

1987207 pages. "Many attempts have been made to put Collins out of action, as will be seen from this book's 'Doug in Censorland' section. Human rights groups, academics, ethnic associations, clergymen and even an archbishop have all tried to silence him. But it's not all serious. There's a thick thread of humour in these pages. You may not laugh and grow fat, but you will laugh.' - from dust jacket. Contains columns from the North Shore News. Clean, bright and unmarked with lightest wear. Price-clipped dust jacket now preserved in archival-grade Brodart. An excellent copy. Book
1984One of twenty-three books selected for inclusion on the "Forbidden Bookshelf". 968 pages. Footnotes. Index. Black and white photographic plates. "Prentice-Hall drastically slashed its print run and advertising budget, despite the book's having met its advance sales target and won wide acceptance in reviews across the country. The almost immediate (and reportedly unprecedented) cancellation by BOMC (Book of the Month Club) of a book under such circumstances would have a chilling impact on most publishers, and Prentice-Hall was no exception. They allowed the book to go out of stock while demand for it remained high, and ultimately let it go out of print altogether." - Foreword. The above was discovered only after the author took Du Pont and Prentice-Hall to federal court. "I have tried, with admittedly humble resources, to explain what the Du Ponts and their extraordinary history mean for American society, its past and its future." - Foreword. Book clean and unmarked with average wear. Binding intact. Dust jacket not included. A sound copy of this important work. Book
1996365 pages. "A must read for anyone who desires to reach an objective awareness. If you are seeking true self-determination, you must fing out 'who's pulling your strings?'" - from back cover. "My initial reaction to this book was anger and irritation. I was almost throwing it down, when I asked myself why I was getting so annoyed. Now I can say with certainty, that if you can take this book to the end, it will broaden your perspective and provide an insight few possess." - Franz Schmitt. Clean, bright and unmarked. Excellent copy. Book
194839 pages. Dedicated to man's age-old effort to create a government strong enough to protect him without creating a force strong enough to enslave him. "Most of the mystery surrounding what we call money results from the illusion that money, in itself, is something: in reality money, in itself, is nothing. If the reader of this book will open his/her mind to this apparently paradoxical truth, he will more easily understand the true nature and function of money. Written for the millions of citizens whose lives are directly and seriously affected by money, but who have never had access to a simple analysis from which they could gain a working knowledge of the subject. We wish to point out, however, that this book merely dissects and examines: it expresses no opinions. Any quarrel with this book is not a quarrel with the authors: it is a quarrel with the facts of our economic life." - from Preface. Average wear. Contents unmarked. Beige covers soiled with unsightly stain at top of front board. Binding intact. Good working copy. Book

1961Very Good Turkish, Ottoman (1500-1928) Original autograph letter signed by Cevat Rifat Atilhan sent to an unnamed recipient. 30x23 cm. In Ottoman script. 15 lines. Full with letterheads. Dated 1961/8/26 with Arabic numbers. A good paper with only an 'extra strong' watermark. It's a feverish letter mentioning the ideas of the readers of Italian and the Turkish nation to an unnamed recipient. Very interesting content. Atilhan was a Turkish career officer and antisemitic writer, who was one of the initiators of the 1934 Thrace pogroms. He was born in 1892 in Vefa, Constantinople. His father Rifat Pasha was the Governor of Damascus. The first years of his childhood passed in Damascus. Then he came to Constantinople and went to Fatih Iptidaisi (primary school). After graduating from primary school, he started to Kuleli Military High School, preferring to military service. In his first days in the lieutenant years, he took part in the Albanian campaign. He was taken prisoner by the Bulgarians in the siege of Edirne. The bondage lasted two years. At the beginning of World War I, he was ordered by Cemal Pasha from Mersin. He came forward with his heroism in the Sinai and Palestinian fronts. Upon the conclusion of the First World War, Cemal Pasha from Mersin came to Konya. The establishment of the National Front had great benefits. He met with Sultan Mehmed VI as the first national representative. When Sultan Mehmed VI left his post, Damat Ferid Pasha had Atilhan arrested because of a conspiracy. He was imprisoned in the Bekir Aga Bölgesi. During the Turkish War of Independence, he was appointed as the commander of Zonguldak-Bartin and Havalisi Fronts. It prevented the spread of the French Army in this region. Upon the victory of the War of Independence, he left the army and went into writing. Of his anti-semitic book "Suzy Liberman, Jewish Spy", in 1935 the Turkish Army gave the order to buy 40000 copies and distributed them amongst the officers. In 1942, he was arrested by the government of the time on the grounds that the coup was being prepared. He was incarcerated for 11 months. In 1952, he was arrested again in Malatya as responsible for the assassination attempt of Ahmet Emin Yalman. He was detained for 11 months and 15 days. He wrote 74 works and thousands of articles. He was influenced by antisemitic politicians like Serif Yaçagaz and Ali Galip Yenen. Because of his antisemitic writings, he was described as the 'Hitler of the Middle East'. In August 1964 he was invited to congress of Islamic State in Somalia. He was elected as the Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Congress. This post was his last major mission.
