Moderate toning single horizontal fold slight creasing to first signature at spine light wear to fore-edge of second and fourth leaves moderate soiling to verso of final leaf. $650. Early edition one of two from the same year under the same fictitious imprint. Liddell an Irish MP and something of a rake was caught in bed with Lady Abergavenny the wife of a close friend. When the two were found out Lady Abergavenny went into shock and died twenty-six days later. The sensational case drew a great deal of public attention.
