1992This is a very good softcover copy with just light cover wear. Completely clean. Text in German. This catalog was prepared to accompany the exhibition in Florence at an unusual venue. A building connected to the San Salvi Psychiatric Hospital was set aside in 1975 to provide patients with materials to make art. By the late 1980's these artists had some exposure in European galleries and fairs and were shown with the Art Brut artists. The Phyllis Kind Gallery of Chicago and New York was showing some of these artists, and apparently distributed this catalog, as it has a Phyllis Kind Gallery label on the rear cover. Also some additional material laid in: a Phyllis Kind publicity sheet announcing two shows at the gallery: 1) La Tinaia artists from San Salvi and 2) Hands of Time. American prison art.
