1986Nel 1986, Ansaldo Group, il piu grande gruppo italiano per costruzioni meccaniche, navi, ferrovie, centrali di energia, diede l' incarico a Sottsass Associati, guidata da Ettore Sottsass, di progettare il Graphic System Guide per coordinare l'immagine della societa in tutte le sedi italiane e straniere. Ne ? nata questa pubblicazione in 6 volumi con cofanetto, prodotto in pochi semplari per ciascuna sede Ansaldo. Sottsass aveva progettato anche il marchio Ansaldo. Bible of the Ansaldo Group, the largest Italian group for mechanical construction, ships,railways, power plants, commissioned Sottsass Associati, led by Ettore Sottsass , to design the graphic System Guide to coordinate the company's image in all the Italian and foreign branches. The result was this 6 - volume publication with slipcase, produced in a few copies (50) for each Ansaldo headquarters. Sottsass had also designed the Ansaldo trademark. Fine condition

Bibliography comprising 3016 detailed entries of what has been published about works of Jewish art, made during the period between the destruction of the Temple and the early 19th century. (Introduction) Edited by Otto Kurz; written and compiled by Leo Ary Mayer (18951959) , Orientalist. Born in Stanislav (Austrian Poland) , he settled in Palestine in 1921 and was successively inspector of antiquities and librarian and keeper of records for the Department of Antiquities. In 1925 he was appointed lecturer in the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. From 1932 to 1958 he was professor of Near Eastern art and archaeology there. He held numerous positions: head of the Institute of Oriental Studies; dean of the faculty of humanities; rector of the Hebrew University (194345) ; president of the Israel Exploration Society (194059) ; and president of the Israel Oriental Society. With E. L. Sukenik, he excavated the Third Wall of Jerusalem and with A. Reifenberg the Eshtemoa synagogue. Mayer specialized in Islamic art, costume, epigraphy, and numismatics. His published works include Saracenic Heraldry (1933) , Mamluk Costume (1952) , bibliographies of Jewish art and numismatics, and a comprehensive work on Muslim artists, Islamic Architects and Their Works (1956) . 1934Foglio ripiegato in 4 parti, cm 24 x 31,5, stampato solo al recto in nero e argento. Splendida creazione grafica del tipografo Nicola D'Arcangelis, realizzata attraverso la stilizzazione di un fascio littorio al quale sono appoggiati dei libri e stampato su elegante carta Amatruda. Nicola D'Arcangelo (vero nome che venne latinizzato in De Arcangelis) e' stato un caso anomalo di stampatore d'arte e graphic designer. Figlio di tipografo, raffino' la sua arte costruendo uno stile che insieme al rigore e all'eleganza dell'antica tipografia univa il sentire delle avanguardie (futurismo, l'illustrazione deco' ecc.) e che bene si espresse nei suoi famosi calendari e nella stampa d'occasione. Ben noto e' questo invito per l'inaugurazione della Biblioteca Gabriele D'Annunzio avvenuto in occasione della X Coppa Acerbo
