1997réf. 11641Newark VT: Janus Press 1997. Broadside. Broadside. 19-1/2" x 15-1/2." Limited edition one of 100 copies. Haswell's poem is handset in 12 pt Century Schoolbook and printed in black on Barcham Green Royal Watercolour Society paper. Woven "rag rug" of paper offcuts primarily from previous Janus Press books. A near fine copy. A very nice broadside with Haswell's evocative poem depicted by Van Vliet's use of nearly 20 papers woven into the sheet with thread. And where Haswell's poem speaks to weaving in the various histories of the fabric in her woven mat about which she writes Van Vliet literally does weave these histories into this broadside with paper from books each identified by Ruth in her bibliography of the work of the Janus Press that span nearly a decade. A wonderful poem beautifully printed and embellished. Ruth Fine Janus Press - Fifty Years p.54. Janus Press unknown
