192 pages including index and an appendix listing contemporary personalities in Japan and Japanese-Occupied Asia. "The present study falls into two sections which are complementary. The first deals with machinery and methods and endeavours to give as full and detailed a survey as is possible of the various government organs directing and controlling political warfare, the structure of the Japanese press, the organisation of Japanese broadcasting, the functioning of censorship, and the extent to which education, science, literature, the arts and the cinema are being employed for purposes of propaganda, both in the Japanese homeland and in the wider area of the conquered empire... The second part deals... with the aims and policies of Japanese propaganda, and attempts to give an outline of the way in which the machinery, sketched in the first part, is being operated." - from introduction. EDITORI RIUNITI 1979 237 PP. PRIMA EDIZIONE.
A clean, unmarked copy with a tight binding. 95 pages. Note from the author: "The reasons for this edition are: firstly to produce a free, yet exact translation of the poem apart from the music; secondly, to provide a verbatim translation, written below the corresponding German word in the music not to be sung--but to aid the singer in interpreting and creating the intended mood and meaning of the song." Small spot on cover. With music and lyrics from the following composers and pieces: Mozart, Abendempfindung, Beethoven, Ich Liebe Dich, Schubert, Die Mutter Erde Der Schmetterling, Mendelssohn, Gruss, Wenn Sich Zwei Herzen Scheiden, Shumann, Du Bist Wie Eine Blume, Mondnacht, Frnz, Aus Meinen Grossen Schmerzer, Brahms, Der Schmied, Wiegenlied, Wolf, Hugo, Heimweh, Verschwiegene Liebe, Wo Wird Einst Die Bekehrte English translations are written below the German in the music.
