Nach dem tode Dr. Albert Ilgs fortgesetzt von Dr. Camillo List.» Edição alemã da segunda parte do tratado Da Pintura Antiga intitulada Diálogos em Roma ou Quatro diálogos da pintura antiga. A obra é introduzida primeiras 160 páginas em numeração romana e extensamente comentada páginas 185 a 231 por Joaquim de Vasconcelos. Estes textos encontram-se apenas em alemão. Contudo a presente edição da obra de Francisco de Holanda organizada em quatro diálogos apresenta a versão original em português nas páginas do lado esquerdo e a tradução - também de Joaquim de Vasconcelos - nas páginas à direita. Entre 1548 e 1571 Francisco de Holanda escreveu quatro tratados de arte em língua portuguesa. O presente livro escrito em 1548 é o mais importante dos quatro tratados não apenas porque inaugura o género da prescrição da arte em Portugal mas também porque é o mais teorético deles incorporando precocemente noções do neoplatonismo florentino dentro da teoria da arte. Carolina Michaëlis Vasconcelos Berlim 1854 - Porto 1925 foi uma importante estudiosa de literatura casada em 1876 com Joaquim de Vasconcelos Porto 1849 - 1936. Foi a primeira mulher a leccionar numa universidade portuguesa - Universidade de Coimbra - e uma das primeiras a entrar na Academia das Ciências.
