Presentation copy: 'To Richard Boston and Marie-Claude with much love and gratitude - Kit 3.6.01.' Handwritten signed letter that accompanied the book loosely inserted addressed from 95 Eleanor Rd. London E8 1DN undated to 'My dear Bozza Richard Boston and consisting of about 63 words - includes Wright's amusing 'prototype of the bicuspid a new stanza form to astonish the world' and some names jotted down in Boston's hand. Handwritten signed letter from Wright to Boston loosely inserted addressed as above undated and consisting of about 65 words in which he enclosed an original typewritten poem with one handwritten correction entitled 'The Pope was on the Dog and Bone' unpublished which he dedicated to Richard Boston. He says he forgot to enclose it and if you don't like it we will find something else. Typed initialled letter from Wright to Boston dated October 25th no year noted and consisting of about 210 words in which he enclosed some sort of game. Also includes an amusing four-line poem entitled 'The Colossal Question'. Fax slightly faded from Richard Ingrams at The Oldie 65 Newman Street London W1T 3EG to Richard Boston loosely inserted in which he asks Boston if he would like to select and give a brief account of a title published in the last year for the 'Books of the Year' feature. Boston's faxed handwritten response suggests 'Hoping This Might Be So' saying 'It not only brings together the poems he has published since 1974 but also adds three dozen new ones - some moving some hilarious and some polite some rude all expressed with clarity wit feeling and metrical virtuosity. I haven't enjoyed a poetry collection so much since Gavin Ewart left us.' Kit Wright born 1944 is an award-winning author of more that twenty-five books for children and adults. He contributes to 'The Oldie' magazine. Richard Boston 1938Ã2006 was a writer and journalist who delighted in humour. He was editor of 'New Society' and wrote for 'The Guardian' and founded the environmental magazine 'The Vole' and the literary magazine 'Quarto'. However 'his writing had roots in specific beliefs notably in the verities of anarchism. A man of considerable moral courage he had an ingrained distrust of all attempts by one group of people to organise and control the lives of others.' Very good. 1903563011 Very good.
