July 8th the Expedition was received at the White House by President Kennedy and awarded the Nat'l Georgraphic Society's Hubbard Metal. An exciting chronicle by celebrated author on the subject of mountaineering and official historian for the expedition James Ramsy Ullman 1907 - 1971 who was distinguished by being the oldest member of the team at the age of fifty-five.
