Whitledge deceased at the Bible and Ball in Ave Mary Lane London. to extra illustrated title page. 12mo. 13 x 7.5cm. A2- T12. Engraved portrait frontis. of George I who had died two years before the title page date so we are presuming that both the frontis and the extra engraved title have come from an earlier edition of the prayer book. This volume also includes 49 engraved plates printed on only one side of paper - the reverse being blank. Bound in early 18th century full crimson morocco decorated in blind slightly worn along edges. All page edges gilt. Blank endpapers to front of volume contain 4 separate ownership inscriptions.
