1973Best.-Nr. 1916West Germany: Oberkochen/Wurtt 1973. Paperback. Good. Text in English and German. Thin oblong paperback just shy of folio size. 1973 presumed first edition with no additional printings listed. A fair to good copy - with heavy wear at the edges - a large floppy publication so it has taken a bit of a beating around the edges including chips minor bending and corner bumps. Light soiling to the white rear cover and scuffing to the black front cover with a brilliant photo of a crater gracing the cover. Interior is full of full page color and black and white plates of Zeiss' space photography. 78 pp. with photos from Zeiss for NASA and descriptive text alternating in German and English. A unique and amazing book in a truly awkward binding and format. Scarce in any condition. Oberkochen/Wurtt paperback

Best.-Nr. 101-c1550Heritage Books Inc. Hardcover. new. new. new. The newspapers abstracted for this work were published between 1797 and 1831 in the towns of Walpole Gilmanton Gilford and Exeter NH. Each town is treated in a separate section of the book. The largest amount of information comprising more than three-quarters of the book comes from the Walpole paper The Farmers Weekly Museum published from 1797 until 1810. This paper was said to have the largest circulation of any village newspaper of its day having readers from Maine to Georgia and into the western frontier. Large numbers of vital records from the Connecticut River Valley are the books main feature detailing the genealogical links between river towns in New Hampshire-Vermont and their parent-towns to the south along the river into Massachusetts and Connecticut. However an enormous amount of information also pertains to other areas of New England and includes abstracts from extremely rare issues of newspapers from other parts of the state.
